Dive for Hope - Nieuwjaarsduik 2010
Crossroads Church sponsored a fundraiser event called Dive for Hope! The organization that we raised funds for is called Child’s Destiny of Hope. There are 1,9 million children in Uganda who have lost either one or both parents. Child’s Destiny of Hope starts orphanages that provide care, love, shelter, food, education and healthcare for these children. The mission of Child’s Destiny of Hope is to provide these children with a meaningful future and with the means to rise above hopelessness.
Child’s Destiny of Hope is setting up a fully functioning children’s home, including school and activity centre in the city of Kampala, the capital of Uganda. This project is led by Tim and Wilma Omalla, who moved to Uganda in July of 2007. Child’s Destiny of Hope intends to set up more of these homes in time.
