White Eye Nesting
Few days back saw bird activity on a bush in front of my balcony. I suspected nesting and took a close look, and found White Eye nest. I observed the birds and there activity whenever I got time.
I observed feeding and cleaning activity, one of parent stays in nest till other comes back with food.. Also these small bird defend the nest from other birds too, I saw Munia looking out for nesting place, and the White Eye chased them away. And whenever they spotted me, they started making lot of noise.
It is really surprising how fast they grow, in a week chicks gain weight and features similar to adults. They must be on steroid diet (lots of caterpillars).
They flew in just 9-10 days from day of hatching...this is amazing growth rate....
