Mahoning Creek Lake, PA - at the Milton Loop boat launch. This was actually the 2nd trip. 1st trip we brought the canoe & the dogs, this time kayaks to cover a little more ground.
In the sea kayaks, we made it to the other end. Approanching Mahoning Creek Lake Dam.
Nice quiet day. It did start to rain lightly later, but it was warm enough that it didn't matter - just kept the lake even quieter than it was on the 4th. A few fisherfolk, including an Amish couple who just put their umbrellas up & kept on fishing.
End of the road!
Next day, not as much time, so a short hike. This is actually a natural air-conditioning vent on the hike to Buttermilk Falls. Deliciously cool air wafting out.
Cowanshannock Creek, PA. Short hike with a great swimming hole at the end. Too bad I forgot my swimsuit.
TQ took the spiderweb pix out hiking in the "back forty", as he likes to call it now. I liked 'em so I swiped 'em even though I wasn't there.
TQ's spiderweb #2. Interesting structure on this one, a bit different than the standard orb.
He was taking these on a very foggy morning.
another nice spiderweb w/dew by TQ
