Goldstrike Hotsprings 3-15-2008
I really wish I had learned about this place sooner! This hike starts out just east of the Hacienda Hotel/Casino. You descend into this beautiful canyon with greenery and sheer cliffs on either side in some places. After a while, you begin to see water here and there, then everywhere! The hot springs form warm pools you can relax in during the hike. Press onwards and there are permanent ropes to assist in some tricky downclimbs. If you make it all the way to the end of the canyon, you will be at the Colorado River. I'm going back on this hike soon for sure. It's FAR too hot to do in the summer though!
