Coffee Glacier
My annual glacier painting trip the first part of May this year was to the Coffee Glacier in Denali National Park. My partners in this venture were Jesse Venable, his wife, Sue and Terry Honeysett. We flew with Talketna Air Taxi. The owner, Paul, pointed out the Coffee and Buckskin Glaciers as possibly better choices than going to the Eldridge as originally planned. Mile high walls of flesh colored granite soaring above the sensuous curves of glacial snow in the crystalline air come together to make a scene of staggering beauty.
