Field Line Anchor, zinc plated steel, 5 1/2 inches tall, top is 3 inches diameter, and the tube is 1 inch in diameter, 3/4 inch internal diameter.
Field Line Anchor is designed to support a marking flag unit with a 3/4 inch spring. The roll pin near the base of the anchor allows debris to fall through and not obstruct a marking flag.
Instructions to install field line anchor. 1) You need a 1 inch auger, I used a 1" wood auger, to drill a hole in the turf and ground, down at least 6-8". A wood auger is overkill but it can be readily found in most hardware stores. You should try to an vertical hole which will directly impact the orientation of the anchor and anything used in the anchor receiver. 2) Once you have your hole drilled and debris removed from around the hole you can then slip the anchor into position. 3) You should then tap down the anchor so it is flush with the ground, possibly removing in thatch from just below the 3" diameter top.4) Once this is done you anchor should be in position until removed. Now you have a tool for line stake and soccer corner flags.
Remove 6-8 inches of turf and soil to allow sufficient space to insert the field line anchor so it is flush to the ground.
Ensure you remove all debris from around the anchor top and then tap the anchor so that it secure against the ground. Use your foot, block of wood with a hammer to ensure a secure installation.
