Boya Tower on the bank of Weiming Lake at Peking University. the name means "unnamed lake". The site was orginally a royal palace garden, but now it is the Peking University campus.

This is the West Gate to Peking University.
Next we went to the HouHai district, a neighborhood of old houses, shops and restaurants around a lake. This area of traditional houses are crisscrossed with small alleys called hutongs. Here near the entrance a man writes Chinese characters with water on the sidewalk. This man is writing chinese characters on the sidewalk with water.
Many tourists come to this area. This is the entrance gate. This area is also called the Lotus Market.

Qing and David negotiate with a pedicab driver. These pedicabs are a great way to explore the alleys of the hutong.

The best and last act was a man in a mask who could change the mask from one color to another right before our eyes, without using his hands. This is an opera from Suchuan Province.
In all he went through nearly twenty different faces.
Finally a huge duck comes out to have his photo taken with his fans. In this case, Qing meets the Duck.
