Terry, Anna Maria Tommoro, Tatjana Aparac-Jelusic, and Srecko Jelusic at the entrance of the Restaurant we went to for dinner in Lisbon
The Restauant was noted for the singing and guitar playing of the traditional folk music of Lisbon, Fado, the music of longing.
Most of the performers also worked in the restaurant as servers, or in the kitchen or as a host or hostess.
The Fado singers were of different ages and each performed for about 20 minutes
Srecko, Tatjana, Ian Johnson, and Anna Maria shared a table with me for the evening.
In the morning Anna Maria and Terry spent some time seeing the old sections of Lisbon via trolley.

Note the variety of colors of the building facades
The streets are hilly and narrow in the older sections.

Terry enjoys the view on this stop on the trolley route.
Anna Maria notes the large monastery on the hill behind the two of them.

The Santa Justa Elevator, built by an apprentice of Gustave Eiffel, about the time of the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
The bridge over the street actually connects the Santa Justa Elevator from the lowest to the highest point in Lisbon.
While wating in line for the tower's elevator, a youth entertains with a small dog collecting the money in the cup he holds between his teeth.

Another view of the tower. It is owned by the Lisbon Bus company and the bus pass purchased for the Metro, trolleys and buses, also gets you up and down the elevator at no additional cost.
