Starting out the second internship. We were supposed to fly back to NZ on 10th Jan after completing the internship, but I got the LA offer so we ended up staying at Chuuti Maam's place for almost 3 weeks till the 29th.

Euro Tour 2010 (11th - 22nd April 2010)

We took the 'European Accent' tour with Trafalgar tours. Started tour in London, and then crossed the English Channel to Belgium and then travelled through Germany, Switzerland, Italy and France - 6 countries in 12 days. Some highlights included the Rhine cruise, Heidelberg castle, Rhine Falls, drive through the Black Forest, Mount Pilatus, the Colosseum, Pisa’s Leaning Tower and the Eiffel Tower. Our Suprise Welcome Dinner at Sumith Maam's!

Here are some pictures of our pretty unexpected 'homecoming'! Thought it was more of a dinner for the 'new couple' at Sumith maam's place..but it turned out to be great traditional homecoming with lots of groom's relatives. Thank god we dressed up a wee bit and didn't walk in wearing just slippers! Thanks a lot for everything Sumith maam :-)

Trip to Christchurch - 14-16th Aug 2008

15th August 2008 is the day I proposed to her. Went up to the Gondola restaurant (http://www.gondola.co.nz/christchurch-restaurant.htm) in Christchurch and then after dinner n desert I asked for the bill and wz like “these guys hv charged extra for this dish” n called the waiter..n she was like “thusi don’t ask embarrassin Qs..im sure that’s the price they had in the menu!”. So then the waiter came with this tray covered n kept it in front of her sayin it was a complementary something from the chef..n when she opened it there was “will you marry me” written in choc. sauce with the ring in the box on the side..then of course I popped the question myself n did the honours ;) I had arranged everything beforehand with the restaurant manager of course, who had told his 2-staff, so it all went well pretty much as expected :-)
