Sailing School 22 June 2010
Another fantastic evening at Roadford Lake with Bob and the Water Sports Activity Centre. Today we had 19 children and 5 adults (shhhhh... they had waaaaaay too much fun, those big kids). It was wonderful and great to see all the kids getting into the water, helping each other learn, team building... and most of all - having so much fun with the biggest smiles lighting up the water. Plenty of laughing. Extremely well behaved children who learned to capsize their dinghys, overcoming many fears and all achieving their own huge potential that they have within. Thanks again to Roadford Lake - the instructors are patient, fun, kind and willing to show children that outdoor sports like this are of a huge benefit to them.Thanks to the parents too - they really made the day with everyone joining in with raucous laughter.Thanks to Lorraine to for joining me in the power boat and the parents who showed up to watch their children take part in this exciting activity.
