Looks fast (but isn't). Pro Cup MTB race (which almost killed me) 2006.
BSFC racing team at the Pro Cup event 2006
"Action shot" (hmmm) taken in Wales at Dunko's stag weekend
Tools required to remove bearing from Truativ/SRAM bottom bracket cup (non-drive side). Car axle stand works surprisingly well with a socket used as a drift. The pedal wrench is the closest thing I have to a rubber mallet.
Bearing cup sitting on top of axle stand, with socket inserted ready to drift out bearing.
Bearing removed, and disassembled into: 2x rubber seals outer race (with balls) inner race (with aluminium shim still in place)
Took a Dremel to the inner bearing race, cutting through until reaching the aluminium shim (which will be resused with the new bearing).
Apollo Retro: Sanded the surface rust from most of the chrome and sprayed with clear laquer to prevent corrosion in future.
