Rissho Kosei-kai Oahu Dharma Center Bon Festival

Bon Fesival honoring the ancestors. Features a dance by Rissho Kosei members and Okinawan dance group. Food games and ceremony honoring our ancestors. Buddhist church in Pacific Palisades in Central Oahu.

Bon Festival at Rissho Kosei-kai Oahu Dharma Center

Bon Festival honoring our ancestors. Featuring bon dance, food, and ancestor worship. Traditional Japanese Buddhist dancing and Okinawan dance group. Great food is always the feature at our festival such as BBQ sticks, oden, mochi, musubi, andagi, grilled corn, and finely shaved ice with azuki beans or mochi.

2010 Kona Coffee Festival Parade

Oahu, Maui & Hawaii churches participate in hosting Japan at the Kona retreat center and marching in the annual Lantern Parade. We had our Mando, Matoi, Flute, Bell and Drum groups to partner with Japan's to create a 100 member strong parade entry. We marched down the main street of Kailua-Kona town and wowed everyone with our the lights on our mando and lantern.
