aGEM September, 2012
Students from the University of Lethbridge, University of Alberta, University of Calgary, and the University of British Columbia were in Edmonton on September 15th, 2012 for the aGEM Jamboree. The iGEM teams were there as part of a 'mock' competition to prepare them for the Western Regional Competition in Standford in October, 2012. Though it was a mock competition the teams were put through their paces by experience judges who not only chose a winner but gave all the teams feedback on the science and the presentation of their project. The U of C team won by the way !
