Costumes of the Victorian Era
Queen Victoria, born in 1819 ascended the Throne of England in 1837 and her reign lasted until her death in 1901. In the span of the 64 years she reigned women's fashion changed considerably, from full skirts to the excesses of the hoop skirt, the bustle dress came and went and came back again to the more restrained costumes of the late 1890's. I hope you will enjoy seeing some of the fashions of that era.
