Morning camp teardown Friday morning. Thanks Mr. and Mrs. Jim, camphosts for their generosity and hospitality.
Leaving the park and ready to resume T.W.T. Part 2
Highground Veteran's Memorial. The monument in the distance is for the Korean War and was under construction the last time I visited.
Foggy valleys in the distance
On the National Historical Register. Would have been fun to see inside.
Time for another Rustic Road as long as it was so near.
Officially on the T.W.T. part 2
Clark Co. riding area, maps are coordinated with intersection numbers for identification
A part that must have been no longer needed at this Intensive Use Area
On one of many bridges
Rain started, Moto Fizz rain cover on
Not that crazy about either one but together..........Not Good
Showers let up, time for an early lunch in Thorp, WI
Skies that I wanted to see a lot more of east of Thorp. I had just gone past a large, very fast and intense, black and white dog (at the little red schoolhouse).
The entrance into the Perkinstown Trails off of WI 64
Big and long puddles
A non-motorized trail; looks like not everyone got the memo.
Almost to Perkinstown
Perkinstown Town Hall
I found it too
One of my favorite spots on the trail. The curves were fun, maybe especially because they were wet.
Raining again, sometimes really hard
Wet and wetter
I had just met a large group of ATV's, one being pulled from a towrope. At this point I had not seen a single motorcycle on the trail and by the time I finished on Saturday afternoon, there still had not been a single motorcycle on the trail. I was sure I'd see someone but not a soul. The only people in the woods and on the backroads were bear hunters and their dogs.
Rain on the river
More and more prominent as the day went on. A fisherman was complaining to me that all of the rivers are moving too fast due to heavy, recent rains.
North on Glidden Short Cut Road
Never saw one, but many, many bear hunters here south of Clam Lake
Decided not to camp for the night, knowing that rain and cold were supposed to continue. Black Bear Inn/Lodge/Supper Club in Drummond. Tdub parked right outside my room's window.
