Declan & the Sand Dollar
Dear Declan,
When I think of special moments, I will remember our Very Special “First Memory. One of my favorite gifts is the Mexican sand dollar you gave me. That night, out on the beach with flashlights, wading through the freezing cold tidal flats, searching for sand dollars, I found my first Sand Dollar. Remember how I screamed?
I took all the sand dollars and shells I have collected during my life and made a mirror frame.
At the top of the mirror is the sand dollar you gave me, with a tiny bit of green marker on it, where we wrote your name, so I would know which sand dollar came from you. I put two pearls in the sand dollar, one big& one little, that's you and me.
This is our first special memory. Someday, this mirror will be yours and I hope you remember our sand dollar when you look at the mirror.
I love you Doodle and I look forward to many more Special Moments with you.
