All the pink, orange, red, green and blue splotches are strip mines. The green pin marks the approx. location of the highwall miner.
The small, bright red splotches are old auger mines, the pointy black markings near the bubble for Brushy Fork are too. The salmon color sprawling to the right of Brushy Fork is the Bee Tree mine. Massey has so far only worked in the western parts of this permit.
