Mayor's City Employee Cleanup 2014
A total of 174 City of Columbus employees and their families and friends turned out during the rain Saturday morning to pick up trash and litter in the OTENA neighborhood. They started in the rain and finished in the rain and everyone did exceptionally well. There were a total of 190 bags of litter (5,700 lbs) and 27 bags of recycling (810 lbs) collected. The four largest teams were Public Service with 35 people, Facilities Management who brought 25 people, and Public Utilities with 23, and Public Safety with 21 people.
The following Departments were represented; The Mayor’s Office, Community Relations, Public Service, Facilities Management, Public Safety, Public Utilities, Development, Civil Service, Human Resources, DOT, Recreation & Parks, Building & Zoning, Public Health and a local group of volunteers called Expanding Visions Foundation who joined the Safety Department team.
