2011 Corpus Christi Church Rocktoberfest
Scenes from Corpus Christi's annual parish picnic, held on the east lawn of the church property on Celebration Avenue. About 660 attended the event, including over 200 walk-in patrons. The Contemporary Choir, led by ex-rocker Brad Fischetti, wowed the crowd with a mix of oldies, modern rock, instrumentals, and spiritual tunes. For the children, the hit of the event was the balloon man, who swiftly pumped and twisted for four hours without a break to create just about any creation requested by the children, some of whom waited in line with their parents for well over an hour. KofC members toiled over a a half dozen propane grilles to cook a seemingly endless number of sausage, hot dogs, and chicken. The cadre of volunteers, led by Des Eastman, Karen Norcross, and Sherry Horstman (and their ever faithful and obedient husbands), earned much of the credit for a successful event.
