The back of Crag Gordon, that might be all a lot of us get to see.
Looking back towards Canberra over the Dyna Sys World Solo Pit Row area. The whole carpark area will be used, from the cars on the left to the area where the Hoecker Marquees are being set up on the right. It is about 160m x 100m and can hold up to 500 pit areas for solo riders, and will include a dedicated solo kitchen area.
The Dyna Sys World Solo Pit Row, looking north from the location of the VIP and Sponsors Marquee.
This photo is here to show you the surface of the Dyna Sys World Solo Pit Row. It is compacted dirt and gravel, and pretty hard to drive a tent peg into (but we will have a drill). So - this is to help you decide if you want a floor for your pit row site.
This shows the event pavilion on the right, and the Dyna Sys World Solo Pit Row on the left. To enter the pit row as a solo rider on the course, you would come in on the bottom right of the photo, turn left through the barriers where the person with the diagonal white stripe on the jacket, then turn around the tree beds.
This is one of the areas where the Solo riders will be able to camp, just outside of the Dyna Sys World Solo Pit Row. The top of the 4X course, from where a lot of the night photos in this album were taken, is the white concrete strip in the centre of the rear of this photo.
One of the bouncing locals at the back of the Dyna Sys World Solo Pit Row area. If you're a solo rider, then you will be getting up close and personal with that aerial on top of the mountain once (maybe twice) every lap.
Some more of the bouncing locals on the section of the course known as "Old Duffy". Both the World Solo riders and Team Riders will ride through this area as part of the course.
You will be able to get lots of open views of the single track sections of the course on Mount Stromlo.
Some of the single track climbing. This section will be part of the World Solo Champs course (and this rider, Peta Mullens, will be riding it in Elite Women).
Some more of the course, showing the fire trail surface. Peta Mullens is the rider.
There are lots of relatively open sections on Mount Stromlo, but they're not all flat - or smooth. Niki Fisher is the rider.
There are several sections of the world solo champs course which use Stromlo's famous berm descents. Peta Mullens is the rider.
Another section of climbing singletrack on the world champs course - although the trees have grown a bit since this photo was taken - with some of the event village area in the background.
More singletrack fun on Mount Stromlo
Some climbing, some rocks ... The dirt ground in the distant background is the event carpark, which holds about 2500 cars.
This section is one of the gradual singletrack descents which forms part of the world champs course.

The Dyna Sys World Solo Pit Row Plan, showing the site allocation for individual riders - download this for a better view, but its about 7 MB. Pale blue sites are for pre-ordered marquee packages. Pale yellow are empty 3x3 sites for riders' own tents. The pale green R BC sites are Results and Battery Charging. The bright yellow Pit Row Kitchen will have BBQs, Microwaves, Fridges and Boiling Water Urns. This plan goes above the next image - so the finish arch and team transition area is at the bottom of this image.

Average rider track spacing for all of CORC's 24Hr races - including 2010. Bigger is better - sort of - and we aim for the 35m to 45m range.
