Tábor, Hluboká, Holašovice, Třeboň, Jindřichův Hradec
Places in the south of Bohemia that we visited with a French guest: Tábor was founded in 15th century by the followers of Jan Hus, a religious reformer. Hluboká is a beautiful castle reconstructed in 19th century according to English Windsor. Holašovice is a lovely village - it is on the Unesco list of world heritage. Třeboň is a little spa town with a renaissance castle, beautiful square and a lot of fish ponds all around. Jindřichův Hradec is a historical town, it also has a beautiful castle and many old buildings, some of them with valuable graffiti.
Slavonice, another little town with a renaissance center, lies very close to Austrian border. Roštejn is an old castle hidden in the forests. Pelhřimov has a beautiful historical square (and it is my birthplace).
