ELLIS -- Cottage Lane Pumpkin Patch of Ellis has launched its annual Harvest of Pumpkins and is open for individuals and groups.
Donna Soneson, who owns the patch with her husband, Rob,, said there is plenty more mischief to get into while looking for the perfect pumpkin to pluck.
Fall visitors also will enjoy the hay ride and the activity area, complete with jumping hay-bale maze, corn- and feed-stalk maze, mini-kid maze, hay tunnel, kiddie corral, a gliding zip line and a scarecrow contest. Votes for the contest cost a dime.
Also on hand for visitation are pygmy goats and chickens.
There also will be miniature-horse cart rides Sundays in October from Blue Sky Tours of Hays.
In mid- to late October, visitors can stroll through the moonlight maze on select dates.
Candles, crafts galore and refreshments fill the farm's original hog barn and chicken coop.
