Barbara Fulton, PhD, Comes Home for Some Bilbo's Pizza
Barb got her MA and PhD from the Behavior Analysis Program in the Psychology Department at WMU. She was one of the first BATS PhDs, way before there was a BATS (Behavior Analysis Training System). She learned all (almost all) she knows about OBM and Behavior Systems Analysis by running a BATS system, the largest introduction to behavior analysis course in the history of the world (1,000 students) with the largest Skinner-box rat lab in the history of the world (500 rats); every semester, 1,000 students trained 500 rats to press the lever, pull the chain, and discriminate between light on and light off; it was our Intro to Psych course. After saving the world (California) with behavior analysis for many years, she’s returned home, Charlotte, to save the world (Michigan) with behavior analysis. Friday she returned to her spiritual home, WMU Psych, to share her life lessons with our I/O students and faculty and to have some of the world’s greatest pizza (Bilbo’s).
