2009-05-08 Grand Canyon Rim-To-Rim-To-Rim

To celebrate Jean-Jacques d'Aquin 70th birthday with a double crossing of the Grand Canyon starting from the South Rim Bright Angel Trial to Phantom Ranch to the North Rim via the North Kaibab Trail and back to the Bright Angel trailhead on the South rim. 48 miles 11,000 of elevation gain and 11,000 feet of elevation loss in 100 degree heat during the daytime and 80 degree heat at night.

10-25-2008 Three Peaks adventure

TRT trail starting at the Stage Coach lift Kingsbury Grade to Freel Peak the highest peak in the Tahoe Basin 10,883 and to Jobs Sister 10,823 and Jobs Peak at 10,633. We ran the ridgeline to the top of Fay Luther Canyon and dropped in to Horse Thief Canyon to exit to the Hwy 88 trail head. 7,641 elevation gain/8,462 elevation loss.

Runners: Squirrel, Tom Gallagher and Scott Glogovac Crew: Rhonda, Chet, Jackie, Terri, and the boys from the White House in Laguna Beach; Ric, Sven and Al Photos from the start of the Angeles Crest 100 Mile Endurance run from Wrightwood, Calif to Pasadena Calif. 50 Miles of the trails is on the PCT and the last 50 are on gosh darn steep rugged trails. 21,000 ft elevation gain / 26,000 elevation loss.
