It felt good to get back into a nice, metropolitan city.
Art imitates life? I beg to differ.
Yeah, stretched lizard is just not going to make it on my favorite's list any time soon.
Punniest. Car. Ever.
The night markets were packed with people, and pretty interesting stuff.
Yeah, that's right. Hong Kong Disneyland gets its own train. Booyes.
The Disneyland train had Mickey ears for handles.
And for windows.
Looks familiar, no?
Instead of the typical clear view in the background, HK Disneyland had the mountains in the background, which kind of made the castle stand out less, if you ask me.
Princesses abound in the center of the park.
Marlon, Merlin's brown cousin.
I do my best Asian pose.
Of all the rides or attractions to add onto HK Disneyland, they choose It's A Small World?! Disney dropped the ball on this one.
The interior of Space Mountain sports a new look. And ride was faster than Disneyland back home.
Cool street band performance in Tomorrowland. I think Disneyland needs more of these, since they are pretty fun.
Space Mountain looks just a cool as ever.
From our trip to Angkor! Or at least, the closest we will ever come.
I swear to you, this was the EXACT picture I would have taken in Thailand, had I had a camera on our bamboo raft adventure.
Southeast Asian sunsets look just as good at Disneyland.
A new element on the Jungle Cruise: a deadly fish rock?
This part of the Jungle Cruise, a usually slow and benign ride, was quite intense. What with the fire lurching across the water and all.
I ponder our next attraction. Or at least, pretend to do so in Chinese.
Just like the elephants in Thailand, this was almost exactly the scene in Laos. What did we got there for again?
Goodbye, Hong Kong Disneyland. Oh, how I will miss your short lines and your $40 tickets. Parting is such sweet sorrow.
The train station, built specifically for Disneyland, connects to the main HK subway system. It was so easy to get here and back.
Repulse Bay Beach. Doesn't the name just make you want to stay forever?
Quite the popular beach spot, Repulse Bay is surrounded by huge apartment buildings and fancy hotels.
A nice game of 500 Rummy. It was easier to jam our cards into the sand to stand up, since the wind would blow sand over them.
Blue skies, warm weather, good times.
This is where we stayed in Hong Kong. Yeah. Nice.
The Hong Kong subway was really nice. Very clean and efficient.
Hong Kong skyline definitely wins. It just does.
I actually got to shake Jackie Chan's hand once, in Las Vegas, when he was filming "Rush Hour 2."
