transported to the plane
Hello England!
transported from the plane in London
We filled up the taxi!
Chris had his own room at The Highbury Centre.
There were plenty of videos to watch while chilling out.
The shops were nearby in Islington.
Wednesday, July 15: the dream is about to come true!
The theatre manager met us and escorted us to our seats.
We had GREAT seats in the wheelchair section.
Afterwards we met 'Marius' at the Stage Door for a picture.
Then came 'Jean Valjean'!
And even 'Cosette' made an appearance.
He thoroughly enjoyed it (so did we)!
We met Hazel afterwards for dinner in a pub.
Chris had to climb the stairs to the missionary guesthouse we stayed at.
Thursday, July 16 we saw St. Paul's Cathedral...
walked over the Millenium Bridge...
on the way to the Tower of London.
We were just in time for a demonstration of medieval siege craft.
Our Yeoman Warder tour guide was very helpful and friendly.
On the wharf we had a good view of the Tower Bridge.
Looking down on the moat at the Tower entrance.
Friday, July 17 we met Philip Powell at Trafalgar Square
The huge lions there are so impressive!
Chris loves history and knows the story of Lord Admiral Horatio Nelson and the battle of Trafalgar.
Before the show we had dinner in a pub...
...and then we made our way to the Lyceum to see The Lion King. Excellent!
At the Stage Door we met young Nala and Simba...
grownup Nala...
Scar!...
and Zazu and grownup Simba! Chris loved it all.
Saturday, July 18 we made it safely back to Holland with wonderful memories.
