My bedroom. Making my bed seems pretty useless to me. Not sure why parents teach kids to make their beds.
Other side of my bedroom. I restrained myself and only brought a few books with me to MN - you can see here Keller's Reason For God, Calvin's Institutes, my mom's Chinese-English dictionary that Liang thought he might need, and Grudem's Systematic Theology. I'm done (enough) with Reason For God. I'll read random chapters of Calvin and Grudem over the summer.
I jumped even further up the Asian Power Rankings by buying a rice cooker. Behind the bananas was Funfetti Cake. It was also breakfast this morning.
The inside of our huge pantry. I forgot to turn the light on, and the light from the window made the camera not use its flash. Don't worry, there's a better pic...
Pic from the inside of the pantry looking out.
Other side of our kitchen. We have a gas stove and oven. I've never had a gas oven before. I should have brought my krumkake and waffle irons...
We have a very large living room/dining room area. Not sure what Daniel's doing here.
Note that there's a closet inside the closet (2 doors). Not sure why. Not sure why there's a chair in there either.
View from near the door. You can see one of the books I'm reading - Future Grace by John Piper.
My reading chair. Nice and comfy.
Where we spend most of our non-reading non-sleeping non-cooking time when we're at home. You can see the other book I'm reading - When I Don't Desire God by John Piper. I'll probably be reading a lot of Piper this summer since I work for the guy and get his books for free :-).
My makeshift workstation. I'll take some pics tomorrow of my real workstation at the office...
That white dome is the Metrodome. This is out one of our windows.
Same view, just from the front porch.
View towards the church from the sidewalk in front of our house. Very short walk.
Our building from across the street. It's four apartments - we live in the bottom right one.
Pic of the church from the same spot. I'll try to get more pics some day.
Downtown Minneapolis skyline from the sidewalk in front of our building.
