Simple nozzle - 5mm brass tube, 8mm PTFE insulator, 10mm PTFE Nozzle - push-fit
Nichrome wire wound round the brass barrel. Insulated by kraken tape.
Alternative heater - resistors and coupling nuts.
PTFE nozzle, 10mm rod turned to 8mm. Extra hole drilled for washer support.
Completed nozzle with washer support
Unwrapping the kraken tape to check the windings - No damage
the 5mm brass tube - pressure pushed off the nozzle (after filling it with ABS)
PTFE nozzle works - rather large expansion (0.6mm hole, 1mm diameter extrusion)
BfB extruder - entry section is plugged solid with melt. ABS entry is thickened.
BfB Nozzle end wasn't tightly screwed on - plug formed in nozzle end too.
A couple of taps with a hammer, and you can reclaim the Nichrome, heater barrel, and nozzle
Rebuilt nozzle. Kraken tape/nichrome heater, 3 ohms round nozzle.
Drilled large washer allows compression support for the PTFE.
