Puppies had their first manicure today and new collars. Many of them were loosing their rick-rack ribbons, so this maybe better. You have to watch the ribbon tied to the collar. Miss White now has lime/green collar. Just to confuse us.

Puppies are now 15 days old! They sure are moving around and eating a lot. They are gaining nicely and all are over 2 lbs, 2-2.5 lbs on average. Their eyes are open now, so portraits are coming for you tomorrow. They are all so cute, so active and very smart. Jas is keeping up with them, but she eats a lot and many times a day. She needs it! Enjoy!

After relaxing for a day to get over the trip to the vet and their first car ride, puppies were doing their tests for the first time today. just some handling, pie plate and weighing. Some cuddles too. I will not use yellow blanket, it reflects the light funny way. Sorry.

Puppies are 4 weeks old, eating normal food and being super cute and active. Csilla enjoys them climbing all over her when she lets them drink. We made some portrait pictures, but none of them kept their years up! :) Still super cute, they all have very beautiful, soulful faces.

Cleaning the big box, pups are in a small basket and Csilla climbs in to feed them. Incredibly, they all fit!! :) After she approved the blankets, they are back in the big box to finish the feeding.

We have 8 puppies, 5 girls and 3 boys. They were born on March 26th, started at about 6:15 and the last girl took some time, Miss Peach was born just before midnight. Some of the weird colors on pictures is the red heat lamp we had on.They are all healthy and eating well.

Ziva left us for Newfoundland to join Tracey, Johm and Gunner. She has 4 sections to her travel, maybe Tracey will add more picture to this album from Peter's to Betty and with Betty 2 1/2 hour flight to Newfoundland. We miss her!!!

Shiraz left us this morning, last puppy from Tula Rippley litter. We found out she is a Houdini like her mother, she climbs out of any Xpen 4', 5' and the whelp box is just piece of cake for her. She will be able to open door we are sure. Sylvie and Kahili have a long drive, bon voyage girls!

These puppies are so interactive, they wag their tails, bark at us, come to us, play with toys, sleep in the tunnel and they are eating well and gaining weight.

Puppies have been going throught their excercises. We have been doing neurological stimulation since day 3, but now we expanded their horizons by letting them get out of our famous pie plate, off the wet towel, smell the orange and these pups got a benefit of smelling Csilla, who insisted on assisting with the pups tonight. All pups came out of the pie dish, some much faster than others and off wet towel. Orange peel was disqusting they said... :)

Puppies are gaining weight and are moving around a lot. they all tried to get out of the scale and they are moving around a box for moma Tula hearding them to her to eat. They eat and sleep now, that is their program. We are doing some excercises with them to stimulate their neurological developement. They are gaining weight at the proper rate.

We have other scale for larger pups, it is much bigger. Notice how pups were sniffing the scale after Mr. Blue peed on it! Frank cleaned it with Windex, but they could still smell it. We also cut their nails and they were all so good not complaing much. They can hear and it is fun to see them react to "Puppy, Puppy" call.

Puppies eyes are open. We took some pictures of them and you can tell which puppy is which by the ribbon, first one is Mr. Black, then they decided to eat so we took lots of pictures of them feeding and then finally they fell off one by one so we could finish taking the portraits. Grace and Ilkim arrived this afternoon and we spent really nice time together and puppies got to be cuddled by someone other than Frank, Tina and I. Kyra was very happy to show off her kids to Grace and Ilkim.

Puppies had their vet appointment last night. They all behaved great, wagged their tails and kissed the vet and the techs. No reaction to their first shots and they all behaved well in the crate. Came home at 9:30 pm and polished full dish of food! Love those temperaments!

Riggs Flight Home to Wisconsin

These pictures were taken today by Sylvie Dagenais of pups playing in the Xpen on their last afternoon of their stay with us (Well most of them!) Some of the pictures are id'd by the collar, some are not visible, but who cares, we have lots of pictures of lovely pups before going home tomorrow. They also do recall very well and even the camera was too slow for them! Just wanted you to see they are no angels and they will take lots of energy to raise in the next few months! We will miss them, they are such a great little Vizslas!

Puppies are moved to the other box (it is bigger) and dad Hunnie had to check it out with them. He is amazing male, they climb all over him, try to take his chew toy, bite him and he is just as gentle and soft as can be with them. They also spent time outside and some of them resent being behind a fence! They have lots of room to play and run inside of the xpen, but they still want to get out and be with all of us.

Puppies just turned a week old yesterday. Today we did the pie and wet towel work out and the smell stimulation. We used orange peel this time. They were all pretty lively and got off the wet towell and out of the pie dish fast. We also did stimulation excercises by putting them into unusual positions.
