Tomb next to the pyramids
There are three pyramids in Giza, the great pyramid of Khufu being the first and largest, the pyramid of Khufu's son Khafre, and the smallest is pyramid of Menkaure.
The small museum next to the great pyramid houses a wooden boat said to be used to transport the mummy across the Nile to the tomb.
The three pyramids used to be covered with white plaster and had smoother surfaces. Traces of the original white cover still exists on the tip of the second pyramid.
