East Branch of Sacandaga River on 11-20-2011

For several miles east of NY 30 in Wells, NY 8 runs along the Sacandaga River. This is a popular place for temporary hunting camps in the fall, and has dozens of campsites located off the roadways, along with trails to ponds and other locations.
