About 70 mile drive to the campsite,
through the town of Weatherford.
We were close to the lake
for some nice water views.
But the surrounding terrain is rocky
and dry
Activities included hiking
on a wide trail that was formerly
a railroad bed.
We went as far as this
very fancy bridge over highway 180.
We drove to another end of the lake and took another hike
among some interesting rock formations.
Many folks were there to do rappelling, but mostly they just stood around wearing all that gear.
Some of our friends had kayaks,
so off they went.
We didn't go fishing, but we could have!
Gary took a two hour nap.
There was a congregation of turkey vultures that played in the updrafts each afternoon.
We assume this is a deer track.

And this was a new one for me, I think it is a water plantain
Food. Lots of good food. What is camping without lots of good food?
