2011 Merritt Cousins Reunion

Organized by Uncle Charlie, the descendents of (my great-)grandma Merritt got together in Garland for music and visiting. Grandma Merritt had 12 children, one of which was my grandmother Mantie Merritt, and she was known for praying for all of them without ceasing. I've heard a lot of stories about this amazing woman.

Bolsa's 1-year anniversary

Bolsa put on an amazing birthday for itself! Besides the usual neighborhood-y action at the restuarant-proper, it gave a free celebration two doors down in an intimate warehouse space on Davis Street that included free sliders and performances by Death Ray Davies and Theater Fire. Good times.
