Mount Roland as seen from Wilmot, overlooking Lake Barrington.
Chris was lucky to find us with a spare kayak... Unfortunately for him our kayaks were the slowest in the race. His mates did really well, finishing first in the run and 10th in the ride...
Katherine leading Chris' friends to the water...
Final touches to the spare kayak... and Chris ready to give it a go.
Look, I found a new mate to paddle with! Wished I'd noticed his rudder wasn't adjusted properly...
Look, lots of friends now!
Awaiting the start... Check out how small and broad our kayaks are...
And off we go!
Coming back, still smiling! only ran over one tree poking out of the water!
Lining up to ride 30km...
Here I go, flying past on my borrowed hybrid bike!
Valiantly finished third last! The last person was on a mountain bike with off-road tyres, like I did last year!
One more drink for the road...
Little time between getting off the bike and running. I was the only one still to have the bike-tag on my back!
Look at me waving up the back! Don't be distracted by the fit crowd!
A mere 10 meters over the line and the pack is already divided between the enthusiasts and the weekend warriors.
But I made it back second last, with energy to burn!
Really, what is 7.5km through mud and dirt!
The PA system told people about my ride next year as I was running towards the finish (www.cofe.pledgepage.org)
Man, I am exhausted now!
