Grand Canyon over Spring Break

We took a trip to the Grand Canyon over spring break. This was a first trip for us all and while it was just a few days, we packed a lot in for an amazing trip!

Kyla's school had their International Festival. The 2nd and 3rd graders studied Gabon and did a fantastic job with their show....great songs and dancing, all in french, of course! I took horrible pictures...but figured I'd at least post what I did have. A video of this would have been awesome....

Tournament

Kyla participated in the Cajun National Tournament that was held here in town. She came home with a medal! Placed 4th in her age group for her form. Kyla started taekwondo when she was 4, in their little kids program and then moved into the juniors program when she was 6. She currently has her sr. purple belt.

Holiday Travel 2011-12

Kyla and I flew to Philly for a few days to visit my grandmother after Christmas. Mimi came out to join us. We went from there to Columbus for New Years. We stayed with the Stokes and Peepap joined us there.

Zoey Hanna

We have a new cat! Meet Zoey Hanna, named by the family with a vote before her arrival. She is about two years old and had been abandoned, until picked up and spayed by the feral TNR program. She's a real love...and the resident cats both seem to be tolerating her ok for now.
