A day of free family fun at Centegra Health Campus-Huntley! Free bike helmet to the first 400 children, White Sox mascot “South Paw”, Interactive Teddy Bear Clinic, Rock Wall, Obstacle Course, Players Choice Academy Pitching Booth and Baseball Clinic, Safe Kids of McHenry County helmet checks, Broccoli planting, Child ID System by McHenry County Sheriff's Department, Tours of the Huntley Fire Truck, Ambulance and Squad Car. Healthy Lunch Provided by Food and Nutrition- turkey hot dogs, fruit, veggie burgers, and pretzels. Guided Tours of Centegra Health Bridge Fitness Center: - Cardio Tennis demonstrations in the Tennis Lounge - Open Swim from 2-4pm

CareFusion Mobile Experience

The Mobile experience was a semi – truck turned into a healthcare setting that brought to life a safe care process. A patient care experience is highlighted starting with preparing the patient for the OR and focusing on safeguards along the way. All associates were invited to attend and learn about safe practices.

Centegra Health System is growing its laboratory services with a 10,000-square foot expansion that broke ground June 24 at Centegra Hospital-McHenry. Construction is underway and completion is expected by the spring of 2011.

Bike Building

Having a bicycle ranks among the most enduring pleasures of childhood with the fun, freedom and pride of ownership. Through the Life Cycles program created by Odyssey Teams, a recognized pioneer and leader in the team-building industry, 32 bikes were assembled by Centegra Health System leaders and donated to McHenry County children May 19. Centegra Gavers Breast Center

The new Centegra Gavers Breast Center in Crystal Lake, currently the Crystal Lake Imaging Center, will serve as the hub for Centegra Health System’s Breast Health program. When it opens in the fall, it will provide McHenry County patients identified with abnormal screening mammograms a full continuum of follow-up diagnostics, required care and social and emotional support in a coordinated and centralized location. Centegra has several state-of-the art imaging facilities throughout McHenry County that provide convenient access to individual imaging needs. Women will be able to get the latest digital screening mammography close to home and in the event more detailed evaluation and treatment is needed, the Centegra Gavers Breast Center will be a dedicated breast care center they can rely on.

As we journey together, four teams have been created to achieve this standard of excellence. Teams will undergo training in the AIDET program and the "Must Haves", as well as rounding with the system and education on Centegra's "relationship based" care. Centegra Spreads Holiday Cheer

Centegra Health System helped spread its positive spirit with thousands of McHenry County community members by distributing more than $4,000 in Jewel and Target gift cards and holiday baskets to four area non-profit agencies December 22. On behalf of Centegra’s 3,600 Associates, several executive team members visited and volunteered at the Salvation Army, Turning Point, Home of the Sparrow and Public Action to Deliver Shelter (PADS), a division of the Pioneer Center for Human Resources on Tuesday morning.
