Bridgewater Players

So a couple of friends are members of "Bridgewater Players", an Amateur Drama Group, and when I saw the flyer for there latest production (Aladdin.com) I asked if I could go along on dress rehearsal night and take some shots. Being a keen amateur photographer who had never done this kind of thing before I was elated at the prospect when they said Yes. Here are a few photo's from the said dress rehearsal. Oulton Park

Fancied going to try photographing something a little faster than a snail, and got the chance when someone (Mike) said they were going to Oulton Park on Friday 14th Oct for a track day...It's free to get in on track/practice days which is a bonus. There's no real racing, so not so much adrenalin, but I think for photographing it's probably better. Don't get me wrong they are still hammering it round the track, just not much overtaking

Lymm Duck Race...25 Apr 2011

Every year (for the last 15 I think someone said) Lymm has a Duck Race to raise money for charity... First time I've been to it, and I thoroughly enjoyed it...I would like to thank the guys for letting me into the starting paddock and making me feel welcome...and a big thanks to all those who helped in the organisation, making a great day out for everyone, and hopefully raising "loadz of money" for charity...Top day out...Well done Guys & Gals

Macro

Started an interest in all creatures small, when I found a garden spider on my hedge and tried to photograph it... Soon realised that Spud Wood, my local dog walk paradise for most, was a hive of insects, most of which I had never seen before, mainly because I didn't look. Now though I stroll through spud wood looking at every tree, thistle, nettle, blade of grass & here is the results of what I can now see, simply because I am looking. Most of these are from Spud wood, however have been on a field trip to a wild flower meadow in Frodsham (with my sister who has also been hooked by Macro) and to Rixton Clay pits. Enough from me, please feel free to peruse and hopefully enjoy. Lymm Dickensian Event 2010

Organised by The Lymm Round Table and the Rotary Club of Lymm, with help from Lymm Parish Council, Lymm Dickensian festival is held every year, with fun and frivolity for old and young alike...Well worth a day out...My congrats to all who took part and all who helped to make it happen... It was a long day as I was there early, and stayed 'till the end, but thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it...

Went round the Village 1st December the day after it snowed (working yesterday) and round the dam 5th December, most of the snow had gone by Sunday, but enjoyed the fresh air and the walk anyway

Warburton Churches near Lymm Cheshire England normski p

Thanks to Wikipedia There is evidence of a Saxon church on the site before the Norman Conquest. In 1187–90. It is likely that the building of the present church began in the middle of the 13th century. Towards the end of the 16th century, the chancel area was remodelled and a pulpit, altar rails and communion table were installed. In 1645 the church was extensively altered and extended. In 1711 the east end of the chancel was rebuilt and a brick tower was added at the east end of the church. In 1722 a gallery was built. Wooden floors were installed in 1813, In 1857 the chancel floor was tiled, the walls were painted with medieval designs and the timber supports and the chancel ceiling were plastered. Stained glass was added to windows. By 1880 the church needed major repairs, because of this the new church was built and the old church ceased to be the parish church. Repairs were undertaken in 1894 for dry rot, in 1927 for death watch beetle and in 1958, again for death watch beetle.

Dog bridge to Spud wood 2 - near Lymm ( normski p )

Now merged three walks form different times into one album. First walk was 26th Oct, 2nd walk 16th Nov and 3rd walk 7th Dec...Amazing how things change over such a short period Walk 2 taken 11 days later much better sky and so different. It is amazing how many different things you can see just 11 days after my last jaunt around this walk. Now taken again after what little snow we have had so far, has melted a little then frozen over night...Will keep adding to these pages as the year progress's. 20th December Monday, (supposed to be working Sssshhh don't tell the boss) probably the last time round here this year, but with a little more snow and a beautiful sky, some of these are now Christmas card material SPRING IS IN THE AIR...here's a new batch taken 23rd March 2011,picture 163 and on, beautiful sunny day, more like May

A walk round Lymm Dam, added to regularly, every time I go (Normski P)

New camera and first outing, nice autumnal morning. This is my favourite walk, must have done it a million times, hope I can do it another million... I have a hard drive full of pictures from around the Dam, but have only just discovered Picasa, so only putting new ones on. Don't you just love Autumn for all the glorious colours that appear as winter nears...Watch this space though 'cos I love it in winter, hopefully will get it with a covering of snow, I love it in spring, when all the new leaves are coming through and the blossoms are about, and I love it in summer in all it's glory... Just been for a spring walk with the camera, so the last 30 are from then...what can I say, Keep checking this page... Now been round the Dam for a spring walk, so the last 29 are round the dam...

A walk to Lymm Village & back again (Normski P)

Looks like I've done this purposely for Picasa, because I have never done this circuitous walk before. Off work one day, it was sunny, dishes wanted washing, but pictures wanted taking... Probably took me about two hours to complete this walk from start to finish, but think of the exercise, the fresh air, and the dirty dishes! Ah they can wait
