On our trip home Christmas Eve, we were of course worried about the blizzard conditions coming to Omaha....
...but totally failed to consider snow at the Dallas-Ft. Worth Airport!
Oh no!
Would our flight out of Dallas be able to take off?
Look at those flakes! They started during our 3 1/2 hour layover....
....and the temperature fell from 38F to 32F by the time we boarded....
...then we had to sit on the ramp for an hour waiting to be de-iced....
....would we make it out of there? What was our backup plan????
Look at all those flights being canceled!!!
But the Omaha flight was still a "Go".

So we did indeed make it home and are very thankful for a great airport crew and experienced American Airlines pilot!
