AmCham and the NMIT Task Force was pleased to welcome François Hurard, chief advisor on motion picture issues of Culture and Communication Minister Christine Albanel.
France is one of the most attractive places in the world to film motion pictures, with world-class animation studios, technologies, production facilities and talent. Serge Siritzky of Ecran Total called France the "Usine à Rêve de la Planète." To maintain its attractiveness in a competitive international environment, France has enacted new incentives to encourage international film production and animation. This presents many business opportunities.
The discussion was moderated by Winston Maxwell, Partner, Hogan & Hartson, Philippe Coen, Vice President and Counsel, The Walt Disney Company EMEA, and Eric Fourel, Partner, Ernst & Young, Chair of the Taxation Task Force.
