Son of William Harrington and Philomelia Tuttle. Born 16 MAR 1847 in Athens Co., Ohio, died 7 DEC 1912 in Marshall, Saline Co., Missouri. Married Ida Mae Hackett 16 MAR 1847 in Athens Co., Ohio. To this union six children were born. Cora, Albert, Walter, Manuel, Eva and Caroline. William and Ida are buried in Union Cemetery Annex, Blosser, Saline Co., Missouri.

William Albert Rooks & Mahala Smithson

William Albert Rooks was the son of Joseph and Elizabeth (Jackson) Rooks. He married Mahala Smithson 18 Jun 1837 in Randolph Co., Indiana. The family moved to Missouri in between 1839 and 1840. To the union 6 children were born. Mahala died sometme between 1855-1859 in Marion Twp, Grundy Co., Missouri . William died 14 Sep 1875 Susanville, Lassen Co., California. Nellie May Lane and Asa Ryan

Nellie May Lane was born June 10, 1874 in Chariton, Lucas Co., Iowa to James A. & Sarah Ann (Frizzell) Lane. She grew to womanhood there and married Asa Ryan, son of John Asa Ryan and Eliza Jane Gordon on Novembe 13, 1892. To this union four children were born. Asa died March 30, 1951 and Nellie died May 15, 1953. They are buried in the Oakview Cemetery, Albia, Monroe Co., Iowa. James Albert Lane, Jr. and Elizabeth Luke

James Albert Lane , Jr. was born November 19, 1882 in Wayne Co., Iowa to James Albert and Sarah Ann (Frizzell) Lane. He married Elizabeth Luke, d/o John Luke and Katherine (?). No children were born to this union, but they did adopt a son David Nephi, whose name became Lane. james died December 29, 1946, and Elizabeth died March 30, 1966. They are both buried in the Chariton Cemetery, Chariton, Lucas Co., Iowa, Row 25 Section N-S, Lot 10. Elizabeth Catherine 'Bettie' Job & Daniel S. Lawrence

There is some question as to what her real name is. At this time we have Elizabeth Catherine Job but records show her as Bettie K. Job. She was the d/o David C. and Valenica (Sanders) Job, gd/o James M. & Margaret (Stone) Job and gt gd/o Enoch & Lucretia Job. She married Daniel Strong Lawrence on 29 Dec. 1872 in Andrew Co., Mo. To this union thirteen children were born. In about 1888-1889 the left Missouri and moved to Beeler Co., KS. They lost four children to Diptheria after moving there. Thomas Jefferson Job -Civil War

s/o James M. Jobe and Margaret Stone, gs/o Enoch Job(e) and Lucretia, and gr gs/o Enoch Job and Unknown. He was born Abt. 1830 in Cole Co., Missouri. He married Lucy Ellen Alverson September 06, 1857 in Russellville, Cole Co Missouri. Thomas died in the Civil War24 Feb 1863, Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was killed by bushwackers. Sarah Ann Jobe , (1844-1919) d/o Edward Jobe and Isabelle Fincher was born Nov. 12, 1844 in Osage Co. Mo. and died August 24, 1919 in Elgin, Chautauqua Co. Kansas. She married (1) John Alexander Copple March 5, 1862 in Mound City, Linn Co., KS. to this union were born 7 children. John died Dec. 22, 1880 of pneumonia in Sedan, Chautauqua Co. Ks. She married (2) Simpson Myers Dec. 10, 1882 in Sedan, Chautauqua Co. Ks. To this union 1 child was born, my grandmother Mary Augusta Myers. I have decided to make one album of Sarah and her first marriage and her husband John and children, and also of her second husband and one child. I had several albums on Imagestation but when they decided to close and I had to move all of them, I felt it was time to put them together since there are not that many photos. Memorial - Edward Jobe and Isabelle Fincher Edward Jobe was born ca 1818 in probably Davidson Co., Tennessee to James M. Jobe and Margaret Stone, and moved to Cole Co., Missouri with his father around 1819-1820. He married Isabelle Fincher the daughter of Levi Fincher ca 1838 in probably Osage Co., Missouri where her family was living. Their first children were born there. This memorial album is done to honor their children and their descendants. James M. Jobe & Margaret McKay

James M. Job the s/o Enoch Job and Lucretia? He was born June 11, 1786 in Shenandoah Valley , VA. and died August 04, 1859 in Cole Co. Missouri. He married Margaret Stone October 14, 1812 in Davidson Co, Tennessee. To this union were born 11 children that I know of and one is still unnamed. He may have been one of the sons that traveled with his father Enoch upriver on a flat boat from Tennessee in 1819 to Cooper Co. Mo., (present day Cole) where they all settled and lived out the rest of their lives. James and Margaret are buried in the Scruggs Station Cemetery on what was once known as the Emil Seidel Farm in Jefferson City, Cole Co. Mo.. I visited his grave in 1995 and it was a joy to see the good condition of his stone, and to even find one! If you are a descendant of James or any of his siblings I would love to hear from you.

Enoch Job, SR. and Unknown Wife

Born in 1734 in Chester Co.,Pennsylvania (present day Maryland) was the s/o Joshua Job and Margaret MacKay. He married Unknown and had at least four children that I know of. Mary Keiza, Enoch Jr., Elizabeth and Abraham. Enoch died Aft. 06 Jun 1797 in Shenandoah or Page Co., Virginia. After he was dismissed from the Quakers, it has been hard to trace his exact locations. Enoch Job, Jr. - Military Records

Enoch served in the Revolutionary War from 1776-1778 . He enlisted into William Croghan's Company, Colonel Muhlenburg's Regiment (8th VA Regiment of Shenandoah) of the VA. and served two terms. Enoch Job & Two Wives

Enoch Job was the s/o Enoch Job, Sr., gs/o Joshua Job and Margaret MacKay, and great grandson of Andew Job, Jr. He married 1) Lucretia right after the Rev. War or in that time period and had 10 children that I know of. She died between 1826-1829 in either Cooper or Cole Co., MO. In 1829 he married Mrs. Sarah Martin a widower with three children of her own. Enoch died April 1843, Sarah died abt 1862. Enoch Job, Jr. Church Records

Enoch Job was a Baptist. After leaving Shenandoah Co., VA. he moved to Green Co., KY where he joined the Mill Creek Church where in 1799. He then moved to Tennessee, where I am sure he joined a church but at this time I do not know which one. In 1819 he left Tennessee and moved to Cooper Co., Missouri where in 1820 he and his first wife Lucretia where accepted as new members at the Mt. Pisgah Baptist church. On August 16, 1833 Enoch Jobe was one of the new members of the Mt. Gilread Baptist church. His wife Lucretia had died between the time they were members of Mt. Pisgah and he joining Mt. Gilread. He remained a member of the church as far as I know until his death in 1843. I wish to thank Debbie Sparks for contributing the church records from Missouri. Enoch Job, Jr. Pension Records

After the war Enoch drew a pension of $8.00 a month. He began in 1828 even tho he signed up for it in 1819. He was denied once but later received the modest sum. He died in 1843 in Cole. Co., MO.

Sarah Job - Pension Records

After the death of Enoch in 1843, Sarah applied for a widow's pension and was given it. She drew $48.00 until 1862 when it appears she has died. Her amount on the sheet ends there. It is not known when she died or where she is buried. She was married prior to Enoch to a man by the last name of Martin, that is all I know at this time. when she died or where she is buried. Hezekiah C. Lane and America Jane Shaffer

Hezekiah C. Lane was born July 29, 1855 in Franklin County Ohio to James A. L.ane and Sarah Ann Frizzell On December 31, 1876 in Lucas County Iowa he married America Jane Shaffer the d/o Abram Shaffer and Rosilla Ryun. to this union ten children were born several dying in infancy. Hezekiah died January 08, 1939 in Chariton, Lucas County Iowa and is buried in the Sharon Cemetery in Wayne County Iowa with his wife and children. Margaret Lane and Two Husbands

Margaret was the daughter of Malachi Lane and Elizabeth Rion/Ryan/Ryun. She was born 19 Feb 1837 in Madison Co., Ohio. Her family came to Lucas Co IA in 1855. She was first married to Benjamin Anson on 16 Jul 1870 in Lucas Co., Iowa. It is not known what happened to him. She then married Leonidas 'Lee' Crawford on 29 Jul 1874 in Lucas Co., Iowa. They adopted one boy Harry and also raised a girl, but did not adopt her. Margaert died 19 Mar 1905, in Chariton Lucas County Iowa and is buried next to her father Malachi at the Chariton Cemetery in Lucas Co., IA, tho no stone exists for her. Lee as he was known died 28 Dec 1907 in Chariton, Lucas County Iowa. Lee is buried in seperate grave in Chariton Cemetery and has a military stone. It is not known why he is not buried with the family other than the lots may have been full and there was no place for him. Samuel H. Lane & Mary Becker

Samuel was the son of Malachi Lane and Elizabeth Rion/ Ryan/ Ryun. He was born December 19, 1834 in Ohio. He married Mary Becker October 3, 1898 in Lucas Co., Iowa. To this union one child was born. Samuel married late in life and his daughter was born in 1901 so did not get to enjoy her very long.. He died December 15, 1910 in Wayne Co., Iowa. Mary died November 26, 1914 in Wayne Co., Iowa. It is not know at this time what became of the their daughter. Samuel and Mary are buried in Sharon Cemetery, Wayne co., Iowa. David Lamar and Elizabeth Pollard.

David Lamar was born August 14, 1815 in Indiana. His parents at this time are unknown. He marrried Elizabeth Pollard about 1840 in possibly Indiana, but a marriage record has not been located. We know from the 1900 census that they had 10 children and to date we feel we have accounted for all of them, tho we are unsure of one son John. Monroe David Lamar and Two Wives

Monroe David Lamar was born February 01, 1858 in Iowa to David Lamar and Elizabeth Pollard. He married (1) Elvira Melissa Miller the d/o George Washington Miller and Margaret Weaver, October 04, 1877 in Sullivan Co Missouri. To this union 4 children were born. Elvira died November 27, 1910 in Burlington, Skagit Co., Washington. He then married Nevada (Lowery) Cook January 01, 1912, she died unknown, he married third Mary A. Mercer December 24, 1915 in Mt. Vernon, Washington. No children were born to the last two marriages that are known of. Monroe died April 02, 1940 in Everett, Washington. Willis Rooks was born ca 1833 in Indiana and died October 14, 1899, Putnam County Missouri, He was the son of John Rooks and Temperance Mary Jackson. He married (1) Christine Ishmael and (2) Nancy McNeese. He had a total of 8 children between his two wives. This album is a tribute to this family and their descendants. Orrin Harrington and Mary Etta Rooks

Orrin Harrington was born February 03, 1835, in Athens Co., Ohio. He married (1) Sarah Collum ca 1865-66, she died between 1870-1875. To this union were born two children. He then married (2) Mary Etta Rooks the d/o James Rooks and Anna Wishon on January 07, 1876 in Sullivan Co., Mo. To this union 11 children were born. Malinda Lamar and Uriah Link

Malinda was born December 27, 1844 in probably Spencer Co., Indiana to David Lamar and Elizabeth Pollard. She married Uriah Link s/o Conrad and Lucinda (Cummings) Link on April 28, 1859 in Monroe County Iowa. Four children were born to this union that we know of and on December 21, 1873 in Sullivan Co., Missouri, Malinda died at the age of 26 years. She is buried in the Pollock Cemetery near Pollock Missouri. After the death of Malinda, Uriah married Mary E. Sarratt the daughter of Richard and America (Brown) Sarratt and had a second family. Those records are also reflected in this tribute album. Malachi Lane

Malachi Lane was born 06 Feb 1809 in Franklin Co., Ohio to William Lane and Unknown. He moved to Lucas Co., Iowa in the year of 1855 settling there and living until his death 26 May 1882. He married Elizabeth Rion/Ryan the d/o Benjamin Rion/Ryan and Nancy ? Eight children were born to this union. One son dying in the Civil War. Another son John Huddleson was adopted and died as a young man during a severe thunderstorm while traveling across the Kansas prairie. Elizabeth Lane Pension Records

When Benjamin H. Lane s/o Malachi and Elizabeth Lane died, his partns applied for a pension since he was supporting them totally due to the bad health of his father. Malachi applied first and was denied, Elizabeth then applied and was awarded $8.00 per month. This album has all these records, 52 pages in all. There is alot of interesting reading here, and you can see just how bad off Malachi and Elizabeth really was at this time.

Benjamin Lewis Lane was born 21 Oct 1868 in Lucas Co Iowa, and died 27 Apr 1958 in Sullivan County Missouri. He married first Annni Elizabeth Manor d/o Joseph Manor and Susannah Norris on 05 Apr 1892 Milan, Sullivan County Missouri. To this union 4 children were born. Annie died in November 1940. He then married Minnie (Quasebarth) Fahsling. NO children were born to this union.
