Initial version of Rockbot. This is now dropped, because it is too much similar to Megaman.
Usefull tools to decide a player's colors.
This was my third drawing to decide on Rockbot design. I am still not happy about it, it is too much like megaman, contrary to betabot that came out very well.
Trying to create a player pixel-body in paper. It is hard to avoid being too close to the Megaman designs :-P
Those are my handmade drawings. You can see how most of the characters started already with their design already near the final one. This is because we tought on them before putting on paper.
Seahorsebot is not cure, and his arms needs to be redone, but overall I really like how his head and eyes come up. This design will be replaced by a cutter one, because it does not fit the spirit of the game.
Apebot right arm is up, because this pose is when he hangs on a tree branch to trow bananas on the player :)
Passed Betabot to SVG verctor graphics using Inkscape. It did come well, considering that I've never did something like that before. Now I need to draw from all angles and in "action" poses.
TNTbot (Dynamitebot). The key box in his hand is cool in drawings, but not for pixel-art. I like the backpack, remembers me of old Atari 2600 HERO. The mats instead of legs is because he can take damage from explosions under him.
This is my main site old logo, 11 years with it already, it is nice to revisit old friends. Will be placed in the game final credits.
GreenNeko is my wife's company for design. I hope with this game, she gets more jobs ;)
Daisiebot. This design is from my wife, and the eyes are nice anime-like that looks well when reduced to pixel art in the boss face in the stage select. We want to add two stages that are designed to girls to play and like it.
