Jan 15, 2012 Southwest Ohio Indoor Time Trial
This event is presented by Team Dayton Cycling and supports the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Fifty eight racers of all categories participated in this third event of this series. On an 8 ft projection screen competitors see their positions along the terrain profile of a 10 kilometer course. A computer simulator varies each rider's resistance based on the slope of the road. Racers see their speed, distance, watts, heart rate, cadence, and more on the big screeen. Even more interesting, they see their position in relation to the other riders in the race with them. This creates some very spirited competition to say the least!! The fastest time for the men today was 14 min 41 seconds recorded by Peter Wimberg. For the women the fastest time posted was by Elaine Schaaf with a time of 16:56.
