Atrium camelia
Broccoli blooms!
Typical carrot
Check out the right-hand carrot! It's at least twice the typical volume.
Daffy!
Azalea bloomage
I hate how this thing looks in the winter, but it's so pretty when it starts turning green!
These little guys are actually lavender, not white.
There's far too much lavender in the garden, but these are so cute!
Oof, about time to trim these.
Oooooo, the pretty irises!
It's close to harvest time! I can always tell by the number of empty rinds the squirrels leave under the tree.
Anybody need oranges?
Lemons! This plant is over 4 feet tall, but lemons only sprout from the very lowest branches.
Whoa! One brave little viola is already blooming. I don't even see buds on the others.
I swear the seed package said SUMMER squash.
In retrospect, I think a different angle might have been a wiser decision for this photo.
Proto-figs
Maranta offspring gets new pot
Pot trellis! It's 48" tall, so there's room to grow!
Climb, climb, climb!
Wisteria
Violas
Viola
Azalea
Hydrangea's starting to bloom!
Hmm, better pick up those rose petals.
Apricot. Stupid autofocus.
Figs.
I missed the prime bloom time for this azalea, but there were a couple good flowers left.
Maranta blooms!
The alien plant in the atrium (which sprouted maybe a year or so ago and didn't look weedish, so I left it) now has 3 heads. It has been identified as a catharanthus (Madagascar periwinkle).
Closeup of 3 heads.
Poor thing is leaning quite a bit from all that growth weight.
The latest visitor to my atrium is blooming.
The second visitor to my atrium. It has been identified as a cyclamen.
Overall photo of my new unplanned cyclamen.
My first visitor, dubbed "alien plant", but also going by the Terran name "catharanthus", has grown and spawned. Soon it will take over the atrium!
These three chaps leapt into my cart at Ikea and begged me to take them home.
John and I both liked the look of this guy. He was the last one left and has a small crack in his pot, so I'll have to repot him before we hang him.
First orchid!
Oddly, it was John who insisted we get the fern. I made no complaint.
Cyclamen update
I planted echinacea here a long while back, and I thought it got washed out and nearly killed in the rain before we got the drainpipe extenders on. But maybe it just got hardy!
This maranta seems really happy with the spot that was going to be temporary during some party, so I've left it there.
This guy is growing like a maniac! But he's on the tilt. I'll have to pack in some new dirt for him.
Irises! Please ignore the grass. That's no longer there.
Love the color!
These guys are just so pretty!
So cute!
This echinacea plant started blooming and then the stalk broke. :(
Maybe this echinacea plant will bloom soon!
