Garden 2011

Gardening in Zone 5 The garden is slowly growing this year due to the late arrival of warm weather. Experimenting with Square foot gardening. Now I just have to figure out how to get rid of the slugs, flea Beatles, and ear wigs that seem to be enjoying my garden more then me. Have tired several different none chemical techniques. Picking lettuce and washing it to find an ear wig isn't the most pleasant of surprises. Notes for Next year: Acquire and trough for growing lettuce (to help keep them away from the bugs) Grow x3 as much peas and beans. Add more Wind Protection for the plants near the Sidewalk. Need to buy more Compost/top soil for both garden areas. More soaker hoses for the garden near the house.

Gracen the House Cat

The cat has cabin fever. She goes out side but it is to cold for to be out as long as is during the summer. As the winter progresses her behavior becomes more and more entertaining and annoying (esp at 4am). No Cat Nip used.

Landscape Western WA

What I love the most about W. WA is that fact there are a lot Hydrological Features here. Though we may have gray clouds from end of Sept through early to mid spring. It is worth it. Though a little bit more sun would be nice. I am always amazed when people say we don't have 4 season in the NW. We actually do get a spring, summer, fall, and winter. Most of my photos take place in the Fall and winter. Can you tell that these photos are taken at different times of the year?

Scale Model: Tech Theater Project

Scale Model. Wine in the Wilderness was the play that I picked for my Tech Theater project. 1970s Artist that owned the loft was in the process of removing the plaster that covered the brick wall. Majority of the items that are shown on the stage were mentioned in the play itself. The pictures do not look to scale but were made larger to take into account that they would need to be scene from a some distance by the audience. The pictures help give a context to the artist and time frame that events were happening. I do not remember the scale that I made my model and one of the few things that is not to scale are the door hinges.
