I bought a Laura Ashley girl's dress from a thrift store because I loved the yellow, blue muted colors. I took the skirt off the dress (it was gathered to the hilt), washed and ironed it, and made an unlined vest. I recycled the buttons from the dress as well. Late 1990s.
