Rockin with Jimy!
Jimy Graham rocking out at the Piccone Club in Shanghai.
Jimy, Shaun, and I
This is some people we met on the train to Hangzhou. The gal wanted to practice her English and I got some help with some of my mandarin.
Our lunch in Hangzhou was interesting. These are sesame dumplings with a piece of Chinese broccoli. I knew I ordered dumplings, but was surprised when these arrived in a broth.
Shaun ordered this dish of chicken. It sounded good and spicy. If you look closely you will see that it really did contain a "whole" chicken. We ate around the head and feet....at least we knew it was a chicken, which is better than some of the meat I have eaten here:)
A Chinese gazebo in a park in Hangzhou.

Hangzhou Hooters!
Music is a universal language! Those cool instruments are being played everywhere in China. I have not tried one yet, but I am sure I will at some point.
Look at all the people!
I am in there some where:)
The Pagoda we never got to see:( Next time!
Cool boats that we got to ride on as we island hopped.
This family wanted a picture with us foreighners, so we obliged. I have had other people just take photos of me without asking me. Between this and the stares that I get wherever I go, it is like being on stage all the time. People really like to watch me eat. It always brings about a good laugh, sense I have not eaten with chopsticks everyday of my life like them.
This was one of the main paths. I know this would never fly in the US, since someone would fall in and sue. I was quite surprised no one got pushed in as I crossed. There were sometimes three different people sharing a stone.
Traditional architecture
Bull in water at West Lake in Hangzhou.
A famous walkway in Hangzhou at the West Lake, which is located in the middle of the city. The crowd on it never stopped.
A couple of handsome guys taking a boat ride on the West Lake
Shaun and I on the first island in the Lake
pretty scenery
Traditional buildings and lots and lots of people.
Me at the building in the previous pic.
Shaun showin some love!
Flowers were everywhere in this town. Since they were always in pots, I assume that they are not always there and that this was part of the May Holiday celebration.
Beautiful!
This is the house that enjoys the view in the previous pic.
One of many cyclists that I have seen carrying enormous loads. I have some other shots of cyclists I will include later. I can't imagine biking across the US with that to carry, much less across town.
Shaun and I ate at a restaraunt with boats to sit in. The food was ok, but we got to sit in a boat and eat!
I am paddling back to the other side of the table so we could head out.
View from Shaun's apartment. This is not towards downtown Shanghai. This is just the suburbs. To describe the enormity of this city is difficult. Their are skyscrapers everywhere! I have never seen a city this big or anything close to it.
