Here we are at the saddle
Chillin' at the saddle
Getting ready to do our last leg to the peak
Here we are at the peak!
Celebrating at the peak!
Calling anyone to tell them that we have arrived at the peak!
Looking down onto Emerald Lake
Beautiful but small Emerald Lake
Posing in front of the Building on the Peak
Our friends we met on the peak
Had to get a pic of our college friends starting to head down from the peak
This is the performer and HAM in me - on the peak
This is what NOT to do on the Peak. Not a lot of room there on the peak and if I fell, it's a long ways down!
I was a bad influence on Trish. She had to try the glamor pose also.
Kristy thinking about "what goes up, must come down".
And down we go. This part reminds me of Walter's Wiggles in Zion National Park on Angel's Landing Trail
We're back to the saddle
At the meadow, not too far from Emerald Lake. We could have walked over there. Awesome wildflowers!
Looking back up to see where we really were
Not really that hard of a trail - just longer than usual.
And VERY rocky in some places.
Starting to get dark
It took us longer to get down since Kristy slipped and fell and tweaked her knee a little. With a hurt knee, she still had to walk off the mountain 5 1/2 miles! That's where poles really help!
