Fongwa at Tower 13 steps...she helped me climb all the steep steps. She is a farmer from Mongolia selling souvenirs, and if lucky enough, finding someone like me to help climb the wall.

Me at Tower 12..sweaty and hot and wanting to go on, but finding the steep steps very difficult. There is an easy path from here too, and again they ask me to try the Forest Route...but I want to see the scenery from the top of the wall.
Looking back to Tower 12 and the way we had walked. I am now at the top of the Steps going to Tower 13...and trying to decide whether to continue or just go back and do the easier walk through the forest.
Steps back to Tower 12...Wonderful views back the way we had climbed
Looking to Tower 14 and one more is the half way mark....should I continue or return....
Tower 14 looks too difficult now, and I realise every tower has the steps up and the steps down, and I am finding the climbing up is very difficult. I decide to walk back to Tower 12 and do the easier track, which was all downhill, and through maple trees, and a dirt track.
Towers 15 and 16 on the horizon..I am now walking the easy route which took exactly one hour from Tower 12 to Tower 23...I was to discover after FongWa left me that i still had 6 Towers to climb alone...and they were difficult, but again, the scenery spectacular.
stone cottage...there are many broken down cottages and some have old people living in them.

Ticket check point..The ticket man was confortable under a mango tree on an armchair with his dog. An excellent job indeed...

Paul waves from Tower 21..I join the tour Guide and walk a short way with him.
I walk back to the wall and join at Tower 22. It was quite tricky trying to find a path back to the wall, and I walked up and down along the wall.
Tower 22 was where I came back on the wall.
Tower 22 looking towards Tower 23. I met with Paul here who happilly told me I still had 6 Towers to go to get to Simatai. and this is the wall ahead that I have to now climb alone...
Looking ahead to the 6 Towers left for me to climb to Simatai. The midway point is where Simatai is located...and the wall goes up and down..The scenery is spectacular

We hear the dogs...and here they are below Tower 23

Tower 26 the climb is very steep as you can see, and this a spectacular part of the wall.
Steps to Tower 27
Paul walks down and I lose him. He takes my water bottle with him too...
Looking down from Tower 27...the journey looks quite long. I have a long way yet to go...

Tower 28
Steps down and looking back up..this was very steep...an iron ladder and there were 5 parts like this. It was really scary as the steps were narrow and straight down like a metal ladder, which is what it was, in 5 parts.
On the Sway Bridge..Had to pay a man 5 yuan for crossing the sway bridge which Paul said was a Private bridge

Tower 30..this is the last Tower and I am now at the exit Tower

I find Paul at the Lookout Point, and he suggests I go down by the ride. I agree....thinking it is a toboggan ride like before...
It is holding onto a rope and flying down over the river to the bottom. I think I am too old to start Flying Foxing down Mountains attached to a rope..I opt to walk down...a 24 minutes walk on paved paths. It was very beautiful. Cost 40 yuan
Two people squeal their way down.
This is where the Flying Fox ends...
There is a Causeway and the stop Point is on the right ..
They walk down to a boat which takes them to the Restaurant Level.
