Check this dude out on the right.
I'm pulling up to his mother telling her they got him the wrong bike, he needs a racing bike !
His mother tells me, “Hey, he just started riding a bicycle yesterday !”
It may be his second day on a bike, but he's got it going on.
Just another day for the little guy maybe, for me it's a pretty fun moment to get to see.
You can't see the mom holding the camera on the other side of the tree.
Looks like a pretty happy guy.
Looking back up to the Arboreteum from the White Rock Lake bike path
It's a funny thing but you don't see too many adolescent males riding at the lake. Kind of like it's not a cool thing for that age. Nice to see an exception or two.
I first started taking this series of shots because the girl was cute and the clothes were very colorful.
The series quickly captivated me though, because it tells the story of what it's like to ride a nice clip on a good bike with a strong companion.
Dad are you coming or not ?
This next series of shots was taken for the boats, it was only when editing that the men/boys became so interesting.
Being a guy is a very interesting thing. You group together, but it's very important not to be seen as too attached to the group.
Skipping rocks is an acceptable behavior, because it shows that I'm not interested in anyone else.
I found it intriguing how the distance between the guys increased and decreased over time, like there was some unwritten rule about how far away from each other they were supposed to stay.
The park has a few “houses” you can rent for afternoon for private parties.
