An asteroid space station. Chalk, compressed and vine charcoal.
Just a concept sketch of an unusual space fighter. The engines, pilot, and critical systems are housed in the central pod; one arm has kinetic weapons on its extremity while the other has a massive gyroscope. The design places the fighter's center of mass outside its physical structure, and the gyroscope lets the fighter flip rapidly around so that it can dodge incoing projectiles without firing its engines. I was inspired to sketch this fighter after perusing nnenn's wonderfully creative designs at http://www.flickr.com/photos/nnenn/ Clearly, I'm still not very good at shading when I don't have an actual object and light source...
